I’ve always been a massive skincare addict ever since I was a young teenager but the one thing I never used in my daily routine until a few years ago was eye cream. When I was about 18/19 I noticed I had terrible lines under my eyes, they had come from nowhere and I was so upset. I thought I had wrinkles! Alas, I just needed to start using eye cream to help them out and now 3 years later my under eye area is better than ever.
Recently, I got sent a link to Reviews.com’s article on all things eye cream and I thought it was very interesting. In it it goes through the best recommendations for any problem you may be facing in your under eye area and goes into extensive research on the ingredients used in eye creams and what ingredients you should cut out because they can cause irritation, these include;
- mineral oils
It then goes into detail about the good ingredients we should use on our eyes and what ones work best for every different type of under eye problem ie, retinods work for wrinkles.
I got so much information from this article and I think you guys should definitely check it out too if you love your skincare and don’t know where to begin with your under eyes like me. I can’t wait to try some of the recommendations and I’ll be sure to give an update.
My own personal favourite eye cream range is from Estée Lauder, they’re so good for my undereye lines and bags! I’ve listed more information about how these ones work in my skincare post a few weeks back.
Last week was freshers week for UL so of course me and my friends went out to celebrate our final year! While I was in Dublin for the Magpie launch I went shopping in Forever 21 and bought a few things, some of which I wore going out and just had to photograph because I loved them so much!!! I felt 90’s and 70’s boho chic all in the one week. I’ll leave links below to each items so you can check them out for yourselves. Also please excuse my rachet nails, I took off gels recently and my nails are destroyed from them.
This ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ gave me real 90’s feels, I paired it with some high rise jeans from Warehouse and a black sleeveless waistcoat and cons because I had no patience for heels that night. It’s so comfy and washed amazing which, lets be real, is what really matters when buying clothes. My friend Kate also bought one in Dublin, squad goals sweetie darling.
Forever 21, Absolutely Fabulous Ringer Tee.
Warehouse, The Straight Cut Jean.
This playsuit from Forever 21 also served some boho chic vibes, I’m completely obsessed with this look. Again I paired it with a waistcoat, I think they could even be called dusters I’m not sure, but this one was from Boohoo last year for about €10 and I have about 5 of them in all different colours. It washed so well too and was super comfy. I wore this with tan wedged shoes from penneys.

Hello my loves, I got a bit crazy with my makeup last week and this is was a came up with ❤️
So a few weeks ago I went to Warsaw, Poland for a little city break and while I was away I promised to upload daily photos but unfortunately I couldn’t. I was having such a good time that I took a break from social media and lived in the moment. I also haven’t been active here in about 3 weeks. Since I arrived home and I have crazy busy with college assignments and working long hours everyday so I didn’t have the time to upload.
However, here are some of the photos I took while I was away. We went exploring the whole city on the first day. It’s simply gorgeous! Then shopping and the Opera on the second day also P’s birthday 👭 and on the last day we went to the zoo and more shopping! Warsaw is such a beautiful city and I can’t wait to head back to Poland soon. Enjoy!
So I know it’s a little late but better late than never right? 😉 Here is what I have been loving for the month of March in terms of makeup. Most of them are new products that I featured in my makeup haul a few weeks ago. Enjoy!
- Kat Von D – Lock-It Foundation.
I purchased this foundation at the end of February and have used it non-stop throughout March. I am in the shade Medium 54, so I use it when I’m tanned. If you read my previous post about my favourite foundations you would know I love my full coverage and this gives it too me and much more!! I don’t feel this on my skin and it makes my complexion look flawless. I can’t rave about it enough, if you are thinking of trying it out definitely do.
