Everyday Look <3

Hello my loves,

I know this was meant to go up yesterday but something came up and I didn’t have the time 😦 anyways, its better late than never right? 😉 This is my go-to everyday look when I’m going to college and don’t have a lot of time to get ready. It takes me between 15-20 minutes depending. Let’s jump in!

NB: I didn’t use any foundation with this look, I just used cream concealers!!

  • Prime your face and apply concealer in a triangular shape on the forehead, under eyes and chin. Down the bridge of your nose and along your jawline. You can blend all this out, or you can then use a darker cream concealer to contour your cheekbones, nose and forehead. Blend this all out and keep blending until everything is airbrushed looking and perfect 🙂
  • Apply peachy or pink tone blush and some highlighter!
  • Fill in your eyebrows and prime your eyelids with eye primer or concealer.

Before you start on your eyes, you will need a fluffy eyeshadow brush, a flat top brush and a small blending brush.

  • Taking the fluffy brush, blend a soft brown colour into your crease from outer corner to inner corner and blend upwards.
  • IMG_3471IMG_3473
  • Using setting spray or eyedrops, wet the flat brush and then apply an eyeshadow highlight all over the lid.
  • IMG_3474IMG_3475
  • Go back in with the fluffy brush and go over just the crease area.
  • Using a medium brown shadow and the small blending brush, apply this to the outer ‘V’ of your eye and up into the crease and blend back and forth.
  • IMG_3478IMG_3477
  • Use the bigger blending brush to blend some more and add more depth!
  • Apply some eyeliner (not necessary), mascara and falsies which again are not necessary!
  • IMG_3480IMG_3481
  • If your comfortable with it, blend either of the brown shadows under your lower lashline.

For lips you can just apply some chapstick or a nude lipstick!! ❤

Stay Beautiful, XO

The Ultimate Smokey Eye <3

Hello my loves!

Before we jump into this I want to say a massive congrats to the Munster team on beating Toulouse in yesterday Heineken Cup Quarter Final. I’m from Munster so I am a massive fan of the team!

Right onto the important stuff 😉 Like myself, a lot of people love a big dramatic eye when they are going out on the town or to a special event. I especially love the black smokey eye because it really helps to intensify my eye colour, green. So I decided to do this full step by step picture tutorial. I have also included how I contour and highlight my face using the CrownBrush UK palette. I hope you enjoy this look and tweet me pics if you try this out 🙂

  • First off we must prime our face with any face primer, I use Porefessional by Benefit.
  • Apply a thin layer of foundation to the face because we are using cream concealers, this way it doesn’t look cakey on our faces.
  • Next, taking any foundation brush and using the a colour two shades lighter then your foundation apply this to your forehead (in a fan), under your eyes(in a triangle), down the bridge of your nose and on your chin. IMG_3374IMG_3363
  • Using a small, foundation brush (I use the real techniques one) take a colour two-three shades darker then your skin and apply this on either side of your forehead, temples, cheekbones, outside of your nose bridge and under your jawline.
  •  Blend all  this out and together for an airbrushed appearance. If you want to deepen the cheekbones more use some bronzer 😉
  • Apply your blush, highlighter (I used Naked Flushed) and fill in your eyebrows!
  • Prime your eye with eyeshadow primer or concealer. This will help your eyeshadow from creasing and becoming shaggy looking throughout the day and night!
  • Using a blending brush, apply a soft brown colour into your crease just as a transition.
  • Using a dark grey colour apply this all the way from the outer ‘V’ of your eyelid all the way to the inner corner and BLEND upwards.
  •  IMG_3382IMG_3381

  • Go over this once more with that same dark grey colour and then go in with a matte black shadow. Repeat the previous step by also building up this colour.
  • Using a Silver shadow apply this with a flat brush all over the lid. Again, build this up to the intensity that you like.
  • Blend once more the Black above the eyelid and down into the outer ‘V’ of the eye.  IMG_3386IMG_3385

Keep building up the colours and Blending until you get your desired look!

  • Apply some thick black winged liner. (Skip this step to make it less dramatic)
  • For under lower lashline, blend some black shadow into the outer half and from the tear-duck bring some of that silver shadow down and blend it into the black!  Line your lower lashline with some black liner also 🙂 IMG_3390IMG_3391
  • Apply some mascara to your lashes and then add some falsies. I used Eye Candy 008. IMG_3393IMG_3410
  • Using a nude lipstick and gloss, complete your look and have an amazing overall look!IMG_3400IMG_3409

This look is perfect for everybody, it really compliments all eye-colours and skintone. I love this look and try to wear as often as possible on a night out or occasion. But always remember to BLEND your eyeshadows, this avoids unnecessary lines and makes the eye look flawless and airbrushed.

As always with dark shadows and smokey eyes, practice does make perfect so don’t give up ❤

Until next time, XO

Kim’s Kardazzle Tutorial <3

Hey my loves, as promised here is a complete look using my new Khroma shadow and blush palette and CrownBrush Highlight and Contour palette. You can use this a subtle night out look or a glammed-up daytime look. It will look amazing on all eye colours and it will complimentary to everybody! Before me begin here is a list of all other products used.

Foundation- Hello Flawless, Benefit (Ivory)

Brows- Browzings, Benefit (Light)

Eyeliner- CK Gel Liner (Black)

Lashes- Fabulous Flutter, Lauren’s Way

Mascara- They’re Real, Benefit.

Lipstick and Gloss- 010 Be Natural and 040 Like a Nude, Catrice Cosmetics.

Setting Powder- Hello Flawless, Benefit

Lets jump in 😉 First you’ll need to prime your eyes with a concealer or eyeshadow primer.

  • Then, take the matte brown colour and gently blend this into the crease as a transition colour. Keep blending until your comfortable with the result.
  • Taking a flat eyeshadow brush mix the light brown and gold shimmer shadows and press all over the lid, keep building this up until you comfortable. You can so as light or as dramatic as you want.
  • Blend this out into the crease and keep BLENDING. Take the matte brown again and blend more into the crease. Remember to BLEND,BLEND,BLEND.
  • Taking the urban decay eyeshadow brush on the larger side mix some of the grey onto the outer corner of the lid and blend up into and across the crease once more. Again, build up until you like what you see.
  • Finally take a small bit of the copper colour and lightly blend this over what you have already done above the crease. This part is optional btw 😉
  • For the under eye, just take some matte brown and blend under your eye along with the copper colour or gold shimmer colour. Whichever you think will suit you most!
  • Apply a thin band of black liner and do a small wing to emphasize the eye as well as the lashes. Use this liner on the lower lash line also and if you can tightline.
  • Apply some falsies and blend them with your own lashed using mascara.
  • Highlight the inner tearduct with the hightlight colour and the browbone.

Now onto contouring and highlighing and blush, my favourite part ❤ You can use any bronzer and concealer you wish for this I used the CrownBrush cream palette and the blush colours from the Kardazzle palette.

  • Contour your cheeks, forehead, jawline and nose (all completely optional) and blend, blend, blend. We don’t want any harsh lines!
  • Highlight under the eyes, forehead, center of the nose and chin (again, optional)
  • For blush, mix the two pinks in the Khroma palette.
  • To highlight the cheekbone use the highlight colour in the Khroma palette

Use a stippling powder or any blending face brush to blend everything together for the airbrushed appearance.

Use any setting brush to help your makeup stay on and last longer!

Stay beautiful! Xoxo

Irish Beauty Show Haul <3

Last weekend I had the privilege of going on to the Irish Beauty Show, courtesy of my friend Áine who got myself, herself and two of our other friends passes into the exhibit. We attended on Sunday March 9th, and the night before we also went to see the amazing Beyoncé in the O2. SHE IS PERFECT. (Such a major girl crush).

Anyways, I ended up buying quite a few items while at the show and thought it would be good to do a post on them and what I make of them. I will try to make a more posts on the items individually, particularly of swatches. 🙂

If you are a reader of the Suzanne Jackson’s blog, So Sue Me, then you know that she is the Irish ambassador for CrownBrushUK. She has been raving about their products for along time, especially their cream concealer and contour palette. I picked this up at their stand, and have been in love ever since. It has become my favourite newest thing that I have added to my collection. The colours in the palette will really suits any skin colours because they have such a wide range! While I was at the CrownBrush stand I also got too meet Sue, (I love how I shorten her name, like as if we’re friends… I WISH), and she couldn’t have been nicer to everyone who approached her. She made time for everyone and I got to take two selfies with her 😉 ‘PEACEAND POUT’ she said! Image

I also got to buy Babydoll cosmetics eyelashes which I cannot wait to start wearing they look amazing!!

The Kardashian Khroma Kollection was also on sale so I bought Kim’s Kardazzle palette. I am obsessed with the Kardashians, especially Kim (she is so beautiful), so I had to buy her onw of course ;). I will do a complete eye look with these shadows soon, as well as using the blush that comes with it which is also becoming my favourite blush. It’s so pretty.

Eye pigments were being sold for so cheap up there that I picked up two, a rose gold colour and a copper colour. I cannot wait to use these especially during the summer months!

Ciara Daly is a brand of makeup brushes and if you watch Jaclyn Hill’s tutorials on youtube then you know that she loves her flat-top Kabuki brush from Sigma. Well this stand were selling one, much to my pleasure. I bought one and have not put it down since. It makes my foundation FLAWLESS.

I have a little obsession when it comes to teeth, they are the first thing that I notice about someones appearance (and their brows!) because I think that it is really important to look after your teeth for not only hygienic reasons but also for cosmetic reasons. Because of this when I was at the beauty show I bought the new Beverly Hills Formula toothpaste. It’s black in colour which made me a little skeptical but after using it for a week I have already noticed a difference in the colour of my own teeth. They are so much brighter! I will also try do a post on the progression of this and how to use the toothpaste as a whitener.

I will put links below to where you can buy all these products ❤

I also would like to say a massive Happy St.Patrick’s Day!  xoxo
